Jorge Guzman is an experienced legal and external affairs professional with a robust background in stakeholder engagement and public policy promotion. Currently serving as the Head of Legal and Government and External Affairs Director at Red Ambiental since August 2020, Jorge focuses on strategic stakeholder mapping, legislative representation, contract negotiations, and corporate social responsibility restructuring. Prior to this role, Jorge held various positions at ArcelorMittal from September 2011 to August 2020, including Head of Legal, Institutional Affairs, and Compliance, where significant contract negotiations were achieved. Additionally, Jorge spent eight years at BAT in various roles related to government relations and corporate affairs. Academic credentials include a Master’s in Economics and Public Policy from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Bachelor of Laws from Universidad de Monterrey, supplemented by further studies at The George Washington University Law School, IPADE Business School, and Carleton University.
