Aaron Tekippe

Aaron Tekippe has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Aaron is currently serving as the Director of Information Security at Red Canary since October 2021. Prior to this, from February 2018 to November 2021, they held the position of Head of Security & Corporate Infrastructure at Businessolver.

In addition, Aaron also served as the Treasurer at SecDSM from January 2018 to October 2020.

Before their roles in the security field, Aaron worked as an IT Security Architect at Kum & Go from May 2014 to February 2018. Here, they were responsible for driving the overall security program, reducing organizational risk, and ensuring security compliance.

Prior to that, they worked as a Cisco Network Engineer at INTL FCStone Inc. from February 2013 to May 2014, where they configured and managed Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches. Aaron also designed a Cisco ISE solution for securing LANs and implemented network redundancy using VPN technologies.

Earlier in their career, Aaron served as a Network Engineer III at Vital Support Systems from January 2011 to February 2013. Aaron contributed to the configuration and management of Cisco networking devices and provided Tier II & Tier III support in a Network Operations Center environment.

Before transitioning into the technology field, Aaron worked as a Sales Manager at Sleep Number Corporation from May 2001 to December 2010. Aaron achieved sales goals, increased profitability, and managed sales staff during their tenure.

Aaron Tekippe obtained a MBA Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Upper Iowa University between 2016 and 2018. Aaron also earned a Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance from Iowa State University in 2017 to 2018. In 2009 to 2011, they completed a degree in Management Information Systems, with a focus on General Management Information Systems, from Upper Iowa University. Furthermore, they have obtained various certifications, including OSCP - Offensive Security Certified Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CNSS 4013 Recognition, Cisco Certified Network Professional Security CCNP Security, Cisco Firewall Security Specialist, Cisco IOS Security Specialist, Cisco VPN Security Specialist, Cisco IPS Specialist, Cisco ASA Specialist, CNSS 4011 Recognition, Cisco Certified Network Associate Security CCNA Security, Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA, and Certified Ethical Hacker CEH.
