Ramiz Khan is an experienced Urban Advisor with the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre since June 2019, focusing on urban resilience initiatives including heat resilience, urban WASH, and community engagement through knowledge management. Previously a Project Assistant at GOPA Infra, Ramiz led significant acquisitions for climate action programs and contributed to sustainable urban development contracts. As a Manager at ICLEI South Asia, Ramiz managed multi-city projects, coordinated stakeholder engagement, and developed guidelines and capacity-building modules. Educational qualifications include multiple Master's degrees in International Cooperation and Environmental Studies from reputed institutions, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Calcutta.

The Climate Centre’s mission is to help the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and its partners reduce the impacts of climate change and extreme-weather events on vulnerable people. A core objective is to make the best global scientific insights operable at the local level. Key elements include support for awareness-raising and capacity-building, especially in developing countries whose people are the most vulnerable to climate change.
