As a Business Development Specialist professional, you will be an integral part of our Scientific Services & Advisory team. Your responsibilities include:
Opening doors to new accounts in the R&D sector.
Expanding accounts once opened (both new and existing).
Collaborating closely with R&D partners to align sales strategy with overall R&D vision, goals, and practices.
Creating and updating Strategic Account Development Plans.
Developing strong client relationships within target accounts and with external partners such as Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Device companies, and CROs.
Setting up meetings with key decision makers to identify, qualify, consult, and close opportunities.
Collaborating with internal service delivery teams to tailor solutions for identified opportunities.
Writing proposals, developing presentations, and drafting Statements of Work (SOWs) as part of the sales process.
Managing and tracking pipeline and opportunities through our opportunity management process.
Ensuring that all business sold meets profitability targets.
Facilitating a smooth transition from the sales process to the delivery team.
Providing input for targeted marketing initiatives.
About You
2-4 years of relevant experience in selling consulting and operational services.
Familiarity with Regulatory, Safety, Clinical, Quality, and eClinical solutions. Preferably in eCOA, ePRO, eConsent, Telemedicine solutions.
Ability to break into new accounts and functional areas within existing accounts.
Demonstrated ability to develop and grow client relationships.
Demonstrate client demand exists with a business development strategy to build the pipeline of business within the assigned territory and portfolio.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
Understanding of the pharmaceutical sector, with a focus on R&D and IT.
Prior experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
Demonstrate a strong BANT evaluation plan with clear strategies to draw out answers effectively to qualify identified opportunities.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Understanding of the drug development process and global R&D processes.
Up to 15% travel required.
