Tarah M. Wheeler

Tarah M. Wheeler has held various leadership positions within cybersecurity and technology companies. Tarah M. is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Red Queen Dynamics, Inc. Tarah M. has also served as a Senior Fellow and Life Member at the Council on Foreign Relations, where they specialize in global cyber policy. Prior to that, they worked as an International Security Fellow and Cybersecurity Policy Fellow at New America. Tarah M. has also held roles as a Fellow at Harvard's Belfer Center and as the CEO of Red Queen Technologies. Additionally, they have worked in leadership positions at Splunk and Symantec, focusing on offensive security and technical data privacy. Tarah M. co-founded Fizzmint and worked as a Systems Architect at Silent Circle. Tarah M. has also taught as an Adjunct Professor at Seattle Central College in the field of Information Technology & Web Development.

Tarah M. Wheeler holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Cybersecurity from Harvard University, which was obtained in 2019. Prior to that, they completed a Postdoctoral certificate in agile development from the University of Washington in 2011. Tarah M. also holds a Master of Science degree in Political Science, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Conflict, and Computational Science, from Portland State University, obtained in 2004. Tarah pursued their undergraduate studies at Carroll College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations in 2001. Earlier, they attended Clackamas Community College to study Communications from 1996 to 1998. Tarah has also obtained various certifications, including Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA in 2022 and GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN) from GIAC Certifications in 2020. Tarah M. is also a Splunk Certified Administrator, Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Professional, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) from (ISC)², Certified Scrum Developer (CSD), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB).
