Laura Gutmann

Laura Gutmann serves as the Research & Storytelling Lead at reDesign since January 2022, focusing on promoting competency-based, learner-centered educational communities. Additionally, Laura co-leads Deeper Learning Initiatives at The SCALE Group, where ongoing research and hybrid resource development are prioritized for teacher preparation. Previously, Laura held the role of Director of Deeper Learning Initiatives at Stanford University's Graduate School of Education, managing projects aimed at enhancing educator preparation through innovative assessment systems. Laura's extensive experience includes contributions as a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and various educational roles from teaching to leadership, alongside a robust academic background with degrees from Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
