Shankar Krishnamoorthy

Shankar Krishnamoorthy has a wide range of experience in technology leadership and solution engineering roles. Shankar is currently serving as the Director - Partner Solution Architects at Redis, where they provide strategic guidance and support to partner solutions. Prior to this, they worked at VMware Tanzu as the Technology Head, Partner Solutions Engineering, leading the Modern Application Business Unit (MAPBU) solution engineering team. Here, they played a crucial role in driving the adoption of VMware Tanzu Kubernetes based solutions and services. Previously, at Pivotal Software, Inc., Shankar served as the Technology Head - Global Ecosystem, responsible for providing leadership to the Platform Architecture team supporting System Integrators. Shankar also worked as an Advisory Architect, where they provided technology leadership and support to global system integrators. Prior to these roles, Shankar gained extensive experience at Ally Financial Services Inc. as the Director – Enterprise Platforms and Architecture, where they spearheaded the adoption of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) across the enterprise. Shankar also served as the Chief Architect - Dealer Financial Services, overseeing a major modernization effort and improving time-to-market for new products and services. Shankar started their career at Ford Motor Company, serving in various leadership roles, including Consulting Head – Java Center of Excellence and Lead Architect – Product Development Systems. Shankar also worked at Wipro Information Systems Corp. as the Technology Head for the Asia Pacific region, where they played a critical role in establishing the eCommerce business practice. Shankar's early experience includes working as a Technology Consultant at Computer Horizons Inc. Shankar Krishnamoorthy earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Technology and Informatics from Bharathiar University in 1989. Shankar then pursued a Master of Science in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science from Marquette University, completing it in 1993. Later on, they attended the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree between 2003 and 2007. In addition to their formal education, Shankar has obtained several certifications in various fields, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).
