Jessica Nerad, PHR

Jessica Nerad, PHR has a wide range of work experience. Jessica began their career in 2010 as a General Manager at Starbucks, where they were responsible for HR/Payroll/Benefits. In 2015, they moved to Upland Kapost as a People Operations Specialist. In 2017, they joined Bonusly as a Customer Success and PopSockets as a People Ops Manager and People Operations Specialist. In 2020, they were a Talent Partner at AlignHR Recruiting and HR & People Operations at Kenzie Academy. Most recently, they are the People Team Director at redpepper, where they are responsible for designing, developing and evaluating people-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals. Jessica also manages talent acquisition, performance management and compensation, employee relations and engagement, learning and development, and HR policies/compliance/benefits.

Jessica Nerad PHR obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Theirtory from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2009. In 2007, they studied Italian Culture with a focus on Art Theirtory, Criticism and Conservation at Università degli Studi della Tuscia. In 2021, they earned their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. In 2020, they obtained the Skills for Inclusive Conversations Certificate from LinkedIn. In 2019, they were certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, and also obtained a Notary Public Commission from the Colorado Secretary of State's Office.
