Mario Saldana

Mario Saldana, Ph.D., is an experienced engineer currently serving as the Thermal/Power Products Manager at Redwire Space since November 2020. Prior to this role, Mario worked as the Concepts and Prototyping Engineering Manager at Roccor, LLC from August 2016 to November 2020, and held positions as an Adjunct Faculty and PhD Research Scholar at the Colorado School of Mines from August 2011 to August 2018, focusing on the design of supercritical fuel systems and chemical kinetics research. Mario began in academia as a Research Intern at California State University, Fresno, and as a Student Tutor and Academic Workshop Facilitator at the College of the Sequoias, in addition to early work as an Electric Motor Mechanic and Information Systems Technician in the US Navy. Mario holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fresno.
