Lead Health And Wellbeing Coach - National Diabetes Prevention Programme Greater Manchester at Reed

Michael Nash has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Currently, they are serving as a Wellbeing for Work Coach Manager at Reed Wellbeing since January 2024. Prior to that, they held the role of Lead Health and Wellbeing Coach for the National Diabetes Prevention Programme in Greater Manchester at Reed starting from July 2022. From April 2021 to the present, Michael worked as a Health and Wellness Coach for the National Diabetes Prevention Programme. Before their time at Reed, they worked as a Slimming World Consultant at Slimming World with Michael since January 2020.

In their earlier career, Michael held a long-standing position as a Pastoral Support Officer at Mount Carmel RC High School in Accrington, Lancashire, from January 2012 to January 2020. Michael was responsible for improving attendance, punctuality, and behavior of students, as well as acting as a link between students, their families, and teachers. Additionally, they dealt with child protection issues.

Michael's work experience further includes a role as an Outreach Worker at Oswaldtwistle (Short Stay) School - Pupil Referral Unit from October 2007 to January 2012. Initially employed as a teaching assistant, they supported the teaching and learning of students and served as a key worker for a group of pupils, facilitating communication between home, mainstream school, and the referral unit.

Furthermore, Michael worked as a Resource Manager at Longridge Youth and Community Centre from June 2006 to December 2007. In this position, they led the weekly 5-11 club by planning, delivering, and evaluating sessions. Michael also recruited and supported teenage volunteers, assisting them in working towards their youth work awards, and was responsible for the maintenance of the center.

Michael Nash attended Longridge High School from 1992 to 1997. Michael then went on to study Sports Studies and Activity Leadership at Preston College from 1997 to 2000. Finally, from 2002 to 2006, Michael studied Sports Management at the University of Central Lancashire.
