About the Role 

Due to the huge success of our Consumables business, we are looking for a Production Operative to join us for 12 months. The purpose of the job is to support the Operations team deliver Refeyn’s range of consumables products. This role would suit an individual who would like to gain experience in a Lab environment. 

The job will be based onsite at our Botley location.

Primary responsibilities for this role include: 

  • Set up, monitor and maintain machines/equipment.
  • Perform production operations and processes primarily in relation to Refeyn’s range of consumable products and packages in accordance with approved manufacturing instructions and protocol
  • Perform Quality Control operations, including taking measurements using Mass Photometers, recording data and goods-in inspections and procedures, adhering to strict Quality Control protocols
  • Contributing to production meetings and basic fault-finding activities.
  • Reporting quality issues to the Quality team and assisting with associated issue resolution
  • Supporting core manufacturing operations for Refeyn’s Mass Photometer production line
  • Perform repetitive associated production tasks, including kitting, packing, labelling, preparation and shipping

We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • GCSE/A/AS Level in Science
  • A degree in Science based subject would be advantageous 
  • Experience in scientific laboratory, manufacturing clean room or hi-tech manufacturing and process environments 
  • Experience working alone and as part of a team to deliver against production targets 
  • Use of standard software packages such as Windows systems, MS Word, Excel 
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team 
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to focus on the task at hand 
  • Good standard of written and verbal communication 
  • Good level of personal organisation and time management 
  • Driving licence

  • We anticipate a salary between £23,000 and £27,000 for this role, depending on the candidate’s experience.
