Richard Scaife

Richard Scaife has extensive experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Richard is currently working at Refeyn as a Quality Manager since February 2023. Prior to this, they were a Software QA Team Lead at Refeyn from February 2022 to February 2023.

Before joining Refeyn, Richard worked at Mirada Medical as a Senior Software Test Engineer from June 2018 to January 2022. At Mirada Medical, they were part of a cross-functional project development team and played a vital role in the entire software development life-cycle. Richard'sresponsibilities included designing, reviewing, and executing tests to ensure software compliance with specifications and intended use.

Richard's previous experience includes working at LGC as a Senior Test Engineer from August 2014 to June 2018. In this role, they contributed to the testing of biotech software programs with forensic and diagnostic applications. Richard also helped write user stories, executed manual tests, and maintained release notes.

In addition, Richard had a brief stint at the Home Office in 2014 as a Test Lead. Richard worked at SunGard for a significant duration, starting as a Test Manager in February 1996 and continuing till November 2013. As a Test Manager at SunGard, they were responsible for designing, automating, and executing regression tests. Richard successfully led and motivated a team of testers, including offshore members. Richard also traveled frequently to Pune, India, to oversee their team's work.

Prior to SunGard, Richard worked as a Software Engineer at Oxford Magnets from November 1995 to February 1996. Richard began their career as an Industrial Placement Student at Queensgate Instruments Ltd from April 1994 to September 1994, where they worked on a project involving the validation of a laser interferometer and tested Capacitance NanoSensors. In 1993, they had a similar industrial placement role at Daresbury Laboratory, where they worked on manipulating data using tools like Mathematica and programming in C.

Richard Scaife's education history includes the following:

- In 1991, they started studying at Brunel University London and completed a four-year program, obtaining a BSc. Honors Degree in Applied Physics in 1995.

- In 2007, they attended Grove Consultants for a brief period to become an ISEB Practitioner in Software Testing.

- In 2014, they attended QA where they completed two certification programs. Richard became a Prince2 Practitioner and also obtained a Prince2 Foundation certificate.

Additionally, it is noted that Richard Scaife obtained a certification from TestRail Academy, offered by Gurock Software GmbH Softwarehersteller in February 2023.
