Karrah Z. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Karrah started their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2008. Karrah then worked as a Temporary Trackside Sales employee at the International Speedway Corporation in 2009. From 2010 to 2016, they worked at D2Performance as a Product Development professional. In 2016, they briefly worked as a Pattern Maker at commando llc. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Faculty member at Central Michigan University, teaching courses related to fashion design and merchandising. During this time, they also worked as a Pattern Maker at the Center for Merchandise and Design Technology. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as an Engineer at Mar-Mac Personal Protective Apparel, supporting global manufacturing operations for DuPont Branded PPE. Karrah then joined Coats & Clark, Inc. as the Director of Product Development from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they are working as the Brand Director at Reflective Apparel.

Karrah Z. started their education in 1997 at Central Michigan University, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences, Fashion Apparel Merchandise and Design, and English, completing their studies in 2001. In 2002, they enrolled in Cincinnati State Technical and Community College for a Certificate in AutoCAD, which they obtained that year. The following year, in 2003, they attended Macomb Community College and studied Catia V.5, focusing on Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician. In 2004, Karrah returned to Central Michigan University for a Master's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters, which they completed in 2006. Additionally, in the same year, they briefly attended Wayne State University, earning a Master of Art degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising. Karrah furthered their education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2007 to 2010, pursuing a PhD in Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies but did not complete their degree, leaving their status as ABD (all but dissertation). Lastly, from 2017 to 2021, they attended Central Michigan University again, this time to earn a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree with a specialization in Technology.
