Bwambale Asiimwe Micheal

Bwambale Asiimwe Micheal is a legal and research professional with extensive experience in access to justice and transitional justice initiatives. Currently serving as the Acting Field Office Coordinator, Legal Associate, and Legal Clerk for the Refugee Law Project at Makerere University since January 2022, Bwambale has committed to advancing legal aid in refugee communities. In addition, Bwambale holds positions as a Research Fellow for Youth4Policy with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Assistant Editor for Review of Democracy, and East Africa Representative for the African Youth for Transitional Justice Platform with the African Union Commission, focusing on youth engagement in transitional justice. Previous experience includes a role as a Global Health Security Associate at the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs and a legal internship at Kiiza & Mugisha Advocates. Bwambale holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre and a Bachelor of Laws from Uganda Christian University.
