Susan Trylinski, B.A., LL.B, B.C.L. has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Susan began their career as an Associate Lawyer at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, specializing in civil litigation with a focus on insurance defense. Susan then worked as a Freelance Writer for Lawyers Weekly. Following this, they served as a Solicitor in New South Wales, Australia, attending Broken Hill sittings where they handled civil and criminal matters for remote areas. Susan joined Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP as a Lawyer before joining The City of Calgary as a Lawyer specialized in municipal taxation and assessment. Susan Trylinski earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and Philosophy from The University of Winnipeg, which they completed between 1973 and 1975. Susan then pursued their legal education at McGill University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree with a focus on Common Law from 1975 to 1978. Additionally, Susan also completed a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) degree in Civil Law at McGill University, which they finished between 1975 and 1979.

To enhance their legal qualifications, Susan obtained certifications from various institutions. In 1980, they received the certification from the Law Society of Alberta and became a member of the Bar of the Province of Alberta. Then, in 1991, Susan obtained the solicitor certification from the Solicitors Admission Board in Sydney, Australia, through the Law Society of New South Wales.
