Lex Overholt

Lex Overholt is a seasoned materials manager with extensive experience in textile and material development, currently serving as the Materials Manager for Advanced Innovation in Gear & Outerwear at REI since July 2021. Overholt's role involves managing textile, insulation, and foam developments, alongside material technologies for sustainability and performance. Previous positions include Senior Materials Designer at REI and Lead Material Developer at Under Armour, where responsibilities encompassed designing high-performance materials and managing innovation projects. Overholt's prior experience includes roles in process engineering, research assistance, and quality control across various companies, contributing to a robust understanding of material performance and testing methodologies. A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Polymer and Fibers Engineering, Overholt has consistently worked to bridge material innovation with practical applications.
