Debashis Gupta

Debashis Gupta has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Debashis started their career as a Partner at Anand K Mathur & Co. In 1992, they joined Bajaj Auto Ltd as an Accounts Executive and later became the Deputy Manager - Finance. In 2001, they began working at Plan International as a ZFO & International Auditor, eventually becoming a Global Assurance Senior. Gupta then moved to Delhi International Airport (P) Ltd as the General Manager - Management Assurance Group, leading a team in delivering audit and assurance services. Debashis subsequently joined Max India Ltd as the Head - Control Assurance & Risk Management, responsible for risk-based audits. Gupta's next role was with Max Healthcare as the Senior Vice President - Internal Audit, where they built and managed an independent internal audit function. Debashis is currently working at Reliance Industries Limited as the Vice President Audit.

Debashis Gupta completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Studies at Delhi University from 1983 to 1986. Debashis then pursued a Master of Commerce degree in Business Studies from Delhi University from 1988 to 1990. Additionally, Gupta obtained the designation of FCA (Fellow Chartered Accountant) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1984 to 1988. In 2006 and 2007, they attended ISACA and earned a CISA (non-practicing) degree in Information Systems Audit. In terms of additional certifications, Gupta has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn and other institutions, including but not limited to those related to generative AI, power BI, unconscious bias, visual storytelling, and forensic accounting.
