The RSPSoc board of directors has a history of working in academia and research, with several members having worked as lecturers at universities, including the University of Worcester and KULeuven. Other previous experiences include working as a consultant in remote sensing and GIS for Environment Systems Ltd, and as a computing officer for the Welsh Institute for Sustainable Environments (WISE Network). All members of the board have completed at least one degree in a related field, including physical geography, remote sensing and GIS, and some have even completed additional degrees from universities such as the University of Amsterdam and The Australian National University.
