Andrew M. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Andrew is currently the VP of Engineering at Renaissance Learning since 2024. Prior to that, they worked at Alloy as the Senior Director of Engineering, Data Ecosystem from 2022 to 2024. At Alloy, they played a crucial role in scaling the data function and developing the product roadmap.

Before Alloy, Andrew served as the Director, Machine Learning & Data Analysis from 2022 to 2022 and as the Director, Data from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Data Science at Alloy from 2018 to 2020, where they contributed to building and maintaining the data science department.

In 2017, Andrew was the Chief Data Officer at Newark Public Schools, where they led various teams involved in data, research, IT, networking, and assessment. Andrew managed a significant budget and devices under their responsibility.

From 2016 to 2017, Andrew worked as the Chief Data and Technology Officer at Public Preparatory Network. Here, they set the vision and goals for the network data and technology team and oversaw the management of various ed tech platforms.

Additionally, Andrew's work experience includes roles at KIPP New Jersey, where they served as the Special Projects Director from 2012 to 2016. Andrew developed evaluation models and data dashboards, supervised strategic projects, and led internal reviews of network schools. Andrew also held the position of Director of Assessment & Student Information and Founding HS History Teacher at KIPP New Jersey.

Andrew's career began in 2004 as a Teacher at the NYC Department of Education, where they made significant achievements in improving student performance in math and English. Andrew also implemented innovative programs to enhance fluency and engagement for English Language Learners.

Andrew M. obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 2004. In addition, they have obtained various certifications from institutions such as edX and Coursera in areas such as communication skills, financial accounting, and data analysis.
