Laurie Borkon

Vice President, Educational Partnerships at Renaissance Learning

Laurie Borkon has extensive work experience in the education field. Laurie started their career in 1994 as a Staff Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Extension, where they worked until 2000. In 1997, they also worked as a Substitute Teacher at the Madison Metropolitan School District until 1999. In 2000, Laurie joined Renaissance Learning, where they held various roles including Director, Government Affairs Analyst, and Researcher. In 2008, they became Vice President of STAR Assessments and RTI, and later took on the role of Vice President of Educational Partnerships. Laurie also briefly served as Vice President of Public Affairs in 2008 and 2009.

Laurie Borkon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they obtained from 1990 to 1996. Laurie also completed a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the same university from 1994 to 1996.
