Head of Site Reliability Engineering at Replicant

Dakota Szabo has extensive work experience in the field of site reliability engineering. They started their career as a Computer Systems Consultant/Technician while being self-employed from June 2008 to August 2011. They then worked as an IT Department Associate/Intern at the Hotchkiss School from June 2007 to January 2012. In 2012, they interned as a Software Engineer at The Blackstone Group for two months. From December 2010 to May 2013, they served as a Union Systems Administrator at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Dakota joined Google in May 2013 and held the role of Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering until January 2017. In this position, they provided 24/7 on-call support, implemented a dynamic task assignment system, and modernized internal corporate account and credential automation. From January 2017 to January 2020, Dakota worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, where they oversaw SRE engagement with messaging software stacks, mentored team members, and designed a configuration lifecycle strategy. They then moved to Goldman Sachs in July 2020 and served as a Site Reliability Engineering Manager until April 2021. Currently, Dakota is the Head of Site Reliability Engineering at Replicant starting from April 2021.

Dakota Szabo attended The Hotchkiss School from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a High School Diploma. Following this, they went on to study at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) from 2010 to 2013, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
