Matthew Raymer

Chief Counsel at Republican National Committee

Matthew Raymer has had a diverse work experience in the field of politics and law. Matthew most recently served as a Resident Fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School starting from February 2023. Prior to this, they held several roles at the Republican National Committee, including Chief Counsel and Senior Legal Advisor. Matthew also served as the Vice President & General Counsel at the Republican State Leadership Committee from 2017 to 2020. Matthew started their career as an Associate Attorney at Baker & Hostetler LLP and also worked as an Assistant Manager at Jefferson Consulting Group.

Matthew Raymer completed their undergraduate education at Dartmouth College from 1999 to 2003. Matthew earned an A.B. degree with a focus on History and Government. Following this, they attended the University of Michigan Law School from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
