Managing Director at Resalta

Djordje Popovic has a long and varied work experience. Djordje began their career in 2000 as a Legal Expert for Elections and Local Self-Government at the Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID). In 2005, they became an Attorney at Law at the Karanovic & Nikolic Law Office, where they provided legal advice to major international clients on all aspects of Serbian, Montenegrin and Bosnian commercial law. In 2011, they became a Partner and Head of Energy & Infrastructure practice at CMS Belgrade, where they focused on renewable and energy efficiency projects, oil and gas, mining, regulated industries, project finance, PPPs, and public procurement. In 2012, they took on the role of Lecturer in Legal Ethics at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law. From 2019 to 2021, they were the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Telenor Serbia, managing the legal, regulatory, communications, governmental affairs, privacy and CSR functions. Currently, they are the Managing Director for Serbia at Resalta, where they are responsible for setting and implementing the business strategy, leading sales and procurement processes, and contributing to the regional business development.

Djordje Popovic studied Law at the University of Belgrade from 1996 to 2004, earning an LL.B. degree. In 2005 and 2007, they completed a Specialist for Securities Law degree from the University of Belgrade, with a focus on Securities Law and Commercial Law. In 2006 and 2007, they also completed a Master of European Studies degree from The University of Bonn, studying Law, Economics, and Political Science. Djordje attended Peta beogradska gimnazija from 1992 to 1996, and earned a High School diploma.
