Christopher Willis has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Christopher started their career as an IT Finance Web Developer Intern at Cisco Systems in 2000, followed by roles as a Software Engineer at Specular Networks and Fortressware. Christopher then worked as a Computer Systems Engineer at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory before joining Accenture in 2005 as a Senior Programmer. At Accenture, they primarily worked with clients such as Kaiser Permanente and AT&T. In 2008, they joined MPR Associates, Inc. as a Web Developer II and later moved to RTI International after their acquisition. At RTI International, they held positions as a Software Engineer and Lead Software Engineer, actively contributing to the development of educational and statistical web applications. Christopher also worked independently as the Tech Enthusiast/Owner of Blind Island LLC, where they developed internet services and an iOS app from scratch. Currently, they serve as the Lead Software Engineer at RTI International, leading the development of NCES DataLab, a statistical application for the U.S. Department of Education.

Christopher Willis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Hawai'i System.
