Cristina Bisson

Cristina Bisson's work experience begins in 1998 as a Research Coordinator for John Snow, Inc. Cristina then served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Community Health Development from 1999 to 2001. Afterward, they worked for the Peace Corps as a Health Materials Development Consultant for a brief period in 2001. From 2001 to 2003, they were an Area Program Manager for East and Southern Africa at IntraHealth International. Cristina then became the Chief of Party and Country Director in Ethiopia and Senegal until 2008, overseeing various projects and leading partnerships. From 2008 to 2009, they contributed to IntraHealth International as a Senior Technical Advisor and aided in expanding the organization's portfolio. In 2012, Bisson became an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of North Florida, co-teaching an International Public Health course. In 2014, they worked as a Strategy Designer for the Health Workforce Advocacy Initiative at IntraHealth International, an Advocacy and Public Policy Consultant for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and provided design support for online health education E-platform content review at mPowering. Cristina also served as an Independent Healthcare Consultant from 2009 to 2016, focusing on program development and public health consulting. Since 2016, Bisson has been Vice President of the Global Health Division at RTI International, where they provide leadership in program implementation and technical expertise in global health.

Cristina Bisson holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Kentucky, which they completed between 1990 and 1994. Cristina also earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) in International Public Health from The George Washington University from 1997 to 1998.
