Mia (Mirella) Smith has a lengthy and varied work experience. Mia (Mirella) began their career in 2014 as an Intern for the Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research. In 2015, they worked as a Receptionist for Peake Management, Inc. and a Human Resource and Administrative Assistant for the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy (CDDEP). In 2017, they moved into a role as an International Payroll Specialist for Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2020, they became a Payroll Administrator for Trusted Health, where they processed weekly payroll for 800+ travel nurses in 48 states via ADP, lead the testing and implementation of a new timekeeping and pay system, applied multiple pay types to timecards, managed the time and pay for a growing number of nurses at non-standard week facilities, processed retropayments for contract, benefit, and time adjustments, and investigated and responded to nurse inquiries regarding time and pay. In 2021, they joined AMI Expeditionary Healthcare as a Payroll Specialist. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as an Operations Team Lead and Operations Associate for Resolve.

Mia (Mirella) Smith obtained their Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University between 2009 and 2014. Mia (Mirella) also holds a certification in Excel: Introduction to VBA, which they obtained from LinkedIn in November 2021.
