Alejandra Martin Sevilla

Alejandra Martin Sevilla has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and research. Alejandra is currently working as a Senior Research Associate in Cellular Reprogramming/Rejuvenation at Retro Biosciences since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc. as a Research Associate in CAR-Treg Cell Therapy/Immunology from February 2022 to February 2023 and in Genetic Viral Vector development from December 2020 to January 2022. Alejandra also has experience as an On Deck Longevity Biotechnology Fellow at On Deck from February 2022 to February 2023. In academic settings, they were part of the Bioinnovation Group (BIG) at the University of California, Davis from September 2019 to June 2020, where they created transformation and culturing handbooks for insulin production. Alejandra also interned at Dr. Mudryj's laboratory at UC Davis Health from September 2019 to March 2020, conducting research on prostate cancer. Additionally, they served as the President of the BCC Student Union at Berkeley City College from August 2017 to May 2018 and as a Math tutor at the college from August 2016 to May 2017. Alejandra also interned at Dale Leitman's laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley from January 2017 to May 2018, studying the effects of drugs on menopause and cancer. Alejandra has interned for the STING pre-clinical project at Aduro Biotech from June 2017 to August 2017. Throughout their career, they have acquired skills in research, laboratory techniques, project management, and leadership.

Alejandra Martin Sevilla began their education at Lope de Vega International School, where they studied from 1999 to 2014. After completing their secondary education, they attended Berkeley City College from 2016 to 2018. During this time, they did not obtain a degree or specialize in any specific field of study. Subsequently, Alejandra pursued their higher education at the University of California, Davis, focusing on Biotechnology. From 2018 to 2020, they studied in this program, though the specific field of study within biotechnology is not specified. In April 2021, they obtained a certification in "Introduction to Quantum Computing" from MIT xPRO.
