They also collaborated on optimizing epigenetic age profiling in partnership with David Sinclair's group. Prior to this role, Alex worked as a Technical Research Assistant I from June 2020 to May 2021.

- Worked at the University of Rochester in various roles, including Workshop Leader for Biochemical Mechanisms of Cellular Processes, Teaching Assistant for Biostatistics Lab, and Undergraduate Researcher in the Gorbunova & Seluanov Lab. During their time as an Undergraduate Researcher, Alex researched stem cell biology in the long-lived, cancer-resistant naked mole-rat, focusing on projects related to immunity and hematopoiesis. They also served as an Emergency Medical Technician and held positions as a Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry I and Workshop Leader for Perspectives in Biology I.

Overall, Alex Trapp has gained extensive experience in computational biology, longevity biotech, epigenetic research, stem cell biology, and teaching.

Alex Trapp earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computational Biology from the University of Rochester from 2016 to 2020. In 2018, they studied Computational Biology at UCL for a short period of time. Prior to college, Alex attended Canisius High School from 2012 to 2016. In terms of additional certifications, Alex obtained Basic Life Support CPR and AED certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in October 2019.
