Nico Bester

Nico Bester is an experienced engineering professional with a background in mechanical design and engineering management. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Reutech Radar Systems since June 2012, Nico oversees the mechanical engineering group, while also contributing as a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in mechanical packaging and detailed mechanical design, including advanced FEA analysis. Prior to this role, Nico worked at Optimal Energy as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, specializing in BIW design and prototype EV development. Experience at Denel Optronics involved serving as Design Authority for mechanical designs of advanced tracking systems, and earlier roles included project engineering and mechanical design for railway solutions at Spoornet. Nico holds a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University.
