Tom Jacobs

Tom Jacobs has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2011, they worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at CITGO Petroleum. In 2012, they became an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Tom then joined Itiviti AB in 2013 as a Financial Systems Associate before transitioning to the role of Services Analyst and eventually Senior Services Analyst. In 2015, Tom co-founded JB Technologies and served as a Product Manager and Java Developer. Tom later joined Accenture in 2017, where they worked as an Emerging Technologies Architect/Scrum Master and an Emerging Technology Team Lead. From 2018 to 2021, Tom worked as a Lead Product Manager at Bluecrew, focusing on providing an automated marketplace for the temp staffing industry. In 2021, they briefly worked as a Lead Product Manager/Advisor. Currently, Tom works at Babylon as a Senior Product Manager, where they have held various roles such as Appointment Matching, Care Engine, and Sidecar platforms. Starting in 2023, Tom will become the Director of Product Management at Rev. Throughout their career, Tom has been recognized for their top talent and has successfully managed teams and launched various products and initiatives.

Tom Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Business from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. Prior to their university education, Tom attended Fenwick High School from 2005 to 2009. Tom also studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Ecole nationale supérieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications from 2012 onwards. Additionally, Tom obtained various certifications from IBM, including IBM Certified Application Developer - Watson V3 Certification, IBM Blockchain Foundation Developer, IBM Blockchain Essentials, IBM Cloud - API Connect Expert Workshop, Build Chatbots with Watson Conversation, and Bluemix Essentials. Tom also obtained a certification from Maven in Managing your PM Career in 2024 and beyond, which they acquired in 2023.
