Cloud Operations Engineer (l2)

Job description

We are looking for a L2 Cloud Operations Engineer, that will help Revolgy resolve clients issues, participate on maintaining, monitoring, analysing and evaluating monitoring and alerting solutions, and reacting upon events.
You would be also responsible for implementing customer requests, technical development of Revolgy services as well as identifying vulnerabilities in the systems of our customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze our client’s infrastructure and enhance it with alerting policies, react to issues, incidents and requests of our customers

  • Fix technical problems and analyze the root cause on customer’s cloud systems

  • Implement Revolgy services for new customers and recommend changes and improvements

  • Assess already-migrated systems and give recommendations

  • Implement managed infrastructure services for our clients and for internal purposes

  • Responsibility for technical development of internal services

  • Communicate with customers and with our providers counterparts

Your background and experience

Hard skills

  • Having a deep understanding of computer systems and networks and/or operations, as well as infrastructure provisioning (such as Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, Docker etc)
  • Knowledge of the principles of CI/CD and ability to set up a pipeline from scratch
  • Expertise with the following:  containers, databases, web services, Linux system administration, Kubernetes, GKE/EKS, Prometheus, Grafana or any other observability tools, PagerDuty or Splunk
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as python, go, scala
  • Great command of the English language both in verbal and written form

Soft skills

  • The ability to take full ownership of tasks and projects, display a high level of initiative, and work autonomously to achieve objectives

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both with internal and external stakeholders

  • Being able to effectively prioritize, organize and execute tasks, handle a range of projects and tasks simultaneously and deliver results
