Matt Roberts, MBA

Matt Roberts, MBA has over twenty years of experience in the engineering, product development, and program management fields. Matt began their career in 1997 as a Liaison Engineer/Program Manager for Boeing, where they managed product cost improvement projects to reduce aircraft weight and cost. In 2003, they joined Hach Company (Danaher Co.) as the Director of Project Management/New Product Development and Director of Engineering Services/Engineering. During their time there, they developed and implemented a new methodology for product development and project management, boosting on-time delivery from 0% to 90% in one year, and product development maturity level from 1 to 4 in two years. Matt also led new product development initiatives utilizing distributed teams within the US, Europe, India, and China, and developed a new product development project planning method that reduced project planning and resourcing from greater than 2 months down to one week.

In 2014, Matt Roberts, MBA joined MTD Products as the Director of New Product Development/Project Management Office. Matt introduced new methodology for managing and prioritizing project activities and resources, boosting project on-time delivery from 20% to 100%, and cutting project timelines by 15% to 33%. Matt also designed and implemented a visual portfolio management system that drove project priority and organizational alignment.

In 2016, Matt Roberts, MBA joined RMB Products, Inc. as the Vice President of Engineering, where they increased engineering throughput over 50%. Matt also established Best Practices and engineering work standards. In 2019, they joined ConcealFab Corporation - Wireless Antenna & Satellite Dish Concealment as the Director Program Management Office. During their time there, they developed and trained the organization on Lean product development techniques, created scalable processes enabling the company to grow from $15M - $32M, and increased project on-time delivery from 30% to over 90%.

Most recently, in 2020, Matt Roberts, MBA joined Revolution Systems LLC as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Product Development & Engineering. Matt led the company’s first strategic planning initiative, created objectives that aligned sales, marketing, and operations, along with implementing monthly KPI’s to drive growth, reduce cost, and increase company profitability. Matt also developed and implemented tools and processes within both engineering and sales to reduce quoting time from weeks to less than a day.

Matt Roberts, MBA has a diverse educational background. Matt obtained a Master Black Belt from Danaher Corporation in Project Management, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Gonzaga University, an MBA in Business Administration from Seattle University, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University.
