Kelsey Kane-Ritsch has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Starting in 2013, they worked as an Educator and Curriculum Developer for the Northern Kenya Conservation Clubs, where they taught environmental education to Kenyan students and organized Community Conservation Day. In 2014, they interned at the Fondation Claude Monet and served as an English Language Program Conversation Partner at Princeton University.
From 2015 to 2016, Kelsey was the Artistic Director for Princeton University Ballet, overseeing auditions, rehearsals, and coordinating dance professionals. Kelsey also conducted independent research for the Association Dayu Biik, receiving grants for their senior thesis research and aiding efforts to extend the Mont Panié nature reserve.
In 2016, Kelsey joined the D&R Greenway Land Trust as an Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, where they focused on communications, audio/visual content creation, and event planning to promote nature preservation. Kelsey then worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant for the Earth Institute, Columbia University from 2021 to 2021, collaborating on projects related to community-based environmental impact tracking and providing support for UN initiatives.
In 2021, Kelsey joined the Southeast Sustainability Directors Network as a Project Manager, leading a team in analyzing federal funding opportunities for southeastern communities. Kelsey also worked at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) from 2017 to 2022, holding roles as a Program Coordinator for Energy Efficiency for All and a Finance & Research Associate for the Oceans Division. Their responsibilities included coalition coordination, research and project management support, budget management, and grant tracking.
Currently, Kelsey works at Rewiring America as a Program Manager, contributing to the advancement of energy efficiency in affordable housing. Kelsey previously held the position of Senior Program Manager before transitioning to their current role.
Kelsey Kane-Ritsch pursued their education at various institutions. From 2012 to 2016, they attended Princeton University, where they completed their Bachelor's Degree. Their major was Anthropology, and they also pursued minors in Environmental Studies and French. Later, from 2019 to 2021, they attended Columbia University, where they obtained their Master's Degree in Sustainability Management. Additionally, in May 2021, they obtained a TRUE Zero Waste Certification from the Green Business Certification, Inc. (GBCI).
