Catharina Friedrich

The mathematician and doctorate in engineering was born in 1977 and has held numerous positions in the energy industry. The mother of two is the first board member in rhenag's 147-year history and is primarily responsible for the operative energy business from sales and technical issues to renewable energies.

After studying mathematics at the University of Siegen, Dr. Catharina Friedrich started her career at RWE Rhein-Ruhr Netzservice GmbH and took on leading positions early on. After almost five years in strategic deployment coordination in Siegen, she took over the management of the coordination of operation services in the staff department in Neuss before moving to Cologne in 2013 and working as head of the construction planning department.

At the beginning of 2015, Dr. Catharina Friedrich returned professionally to Siegen, where she took over management of the Sieg regional center of Westnetz GmbH and, together with around 200 employees, was responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the electrical distribution networks.
