About the Role

We are looking for a Head of People to ensure the business and our teams are continually aligned with Rho’s framework of “getting it done & doing it right.”  As the Head of People, you will report directly to the CEO and work with team members across the business to develop and execute our strategy for attracting, engaging, and retaining our most important resource, our people. This role is based out of our NYC office, 5 days a week. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance our performance management process and philosophy in order to ensure Rho has a high-performing culture and all of our team members are enabled to align their day-to-day work with the business goals in support of our mission and growth while fostering an environment of continuous feedback and improvement.
  • Partner with leaders across the business to ensure their teams are staffed appropriately and are enabled to do their best work aligned with our core values.
  • Serve as a partner to our leaders to ensure alignment with our core values in business-level decision-making and behavior.
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives and monitor employee engagement and satisfaction levels. 
  • Develop philosophy and strategy in order to build and maintain a diverse workforce.
  • Build processes and programs in support of career development, leadership development, and general learning and development.
  • Partner across the business to continually iterate upon programs that support frictionless employee experience for all our team members including onboarding, engagement, and offboarding.  
  • Partner with finance to maintain our total rewards program including salary bands and equity and ensure forecasts are appropriately managed and met.
  • Ensure all People Team processes are clearly defined, documented, and socialized while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to the overall employee experience.
  • Manage and continue to build an efficient and performance-driven Global People team.
  • Manage and support the execution of internal communication strategy and plans. 
  • Continually pursue team, function, and organizational improvement by developing innovative People strategies and driving execution and change management through the effective use of talent tools and resources.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience across a variety of people verticals, with experience building high-performing and high-velocity organizations (performance management, employee engagement, onboarding, career pathing, learning + development, total rewards).
  • Knowledge and experience in core people functions including strategic people planning, workforce planning, talent management and development, learning and development, engagement and retention, compensation, HR systems, and employee relations.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally in finance, or growth-stage start-ups.

Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $215,000 - $275,000. Base salary may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, and business needs. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, healthcare benefits and paid time off.
