Guy Skillett has over 15 years of work experience in the construction industry. Guy began their career in 2004 at Bechtel Corporation as a Senior Cost Engineer, where they were responsible for the modernisation of a Vertical Stud Soderberg aluminium smelter. Guy then held various roles at Bechtel, including Permitting & Environment Manager, Permitting & License Manager & Project ES&H Lead, and Area Environment, Safety & Health Lead. In 2011, they took on the role of Senior Cost Engineer for the OGP1 project in Chile. In 2014, they joined Rhumbix as VP Construction Innovation, where they worked on mobile-first software platforms designed to measure and manage field production and performance.
Guy Skillett obtained a BSc in Environmental Geoscience from the University of Bristol in 2003. In 2009, they became a Member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment. In 2006, they became a Fellow of the Geological Society of London. In 2014, they completed an MSc in International Construction Management from the University of Bath. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Visiting Research Scholar in the Dept of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.
