Ruben Nieto

Global Lab Operation Engineer at Ribbon Communications

Ruben Nieto has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Ruben started their career in 1992 as an Electronic Technician at Levis Strauss. In 1994, they transitioned to the role of a Field Service Engineer at TDK, where they installed and serviced factory automation equipment. At Nortel, where they worked from 1997 to 2011, Ruben served as a System Test Engineer and was responsible for building network topologies, executing test plans, and providing customer support. Ruben then joined Genband in 2007 as a Senior Operations Specialist, working on the validation and implementation of VoIP solutions. Ruben joined Mitel in 2018 as a Product Support Engineer, providing technical support for managed VoIP services. In 2019, they became a Radio Access Network Engineer at Ericsson Software. Currently, Ruben works at Ribbon Communications, where they have held two roles: System Network Integrator and Global Lab Operation Engineer. In these roles, they have been responsible for installation, commissioning, integration, and daily support of telecom and network equipment.

Ruben Nieto completed their education at DeVry University in two different locations. From 1999 to 2002, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management at DeVry University in Irving, TX. Prior to that, between 1990 and 1992, Ruben obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics at DeVry University in Phoenix, AZ.
