Mariella Sabatino

Mariella Sabatino has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and responsibilities. Mariella started their career as a Bachelor's Degree Intern at Telecom Italia, where they focused on designing and improving the user interface of the Kokoo platform through focus groups.

Later, they worked as a Production Manager, Video Operator, and Video Editor at OndeQuadre WebTV - Politecnico di Torino for over two years. During their time there, they gained expertise in video production and editing.

Mariella then joined EURECOM for an ERASMUS Master Thesis Internship, where they designed and developed HyperTED, a web application for browsing and searching through Media Fragments of TED Talks. This involved utilizing semantic entities extracted from subtitles to recommend related content.

Following that, they worked as a Frontend Developer at Bitmama, where they focused on client-side development and management for clients like Fiat and Lancia.

Mariella then moved on to GreenCom Networks as a Web Integrator and UI Designer, where they played a crucial role in the design and development of web applications related to green energies. Mariella'sresponsibilities included graphic design, UI/UX, and following Material Design guidelines.

After that, they worked at GTECH Interactive as a Web Integrator and Frontend Developer for Alten, where they were responsible for redesigning and maintaining the System2Go web application for managing casinos' activities worldwide. Mariella faced the challenge of upgrading older technologies to cater to modern web usability needs.

Next, they joined Orange as a Frontend Developer for Alten, where they worked on enhancing the news section of the Orange.fr portal and developing new features. Mariella'srole extended to maintaining the application for various devices and displays.

Mariella then joined Ricardo AG as a Frontend Developer, where their main focus was developing new features within their topic team by collaborating with other stakeholders such as FED, BED, PMs, and Designers. Mariella was also part of the team working on renewing a 20-year-old system. Mariella later progressed to the role of Senior Frontend Developer and eventually became an Engineering Manager.

Finally, they joined SMG Swiss Marketplace Group as an Engineering Manager, continuing their career in a managerial role.
