Megan Zeni is an experienced educator and consultant with a focus on early learning, curriculum implementation, and outdoor education. Currently serving as an Early Learning & K-7 Curriculum Implementation Teacher Consultant and Outdoor Classroom and Garden Teacher with Richmond School District No. 38, Megan has pioneered innovative approaches to utilizing teacher prep time and integrating cross-curricular learning in outdoor settings. As a Co-Investigator for various research projects at Outside Play UBC Lab, Megan contributes to exploring childhood risk experiences and outdoor play's impact on children's development. Additionally, Megan is the Founder of The Classroom Gardener and Room to Play, both of which emphasize educational consultancy in school gardens and outdoor classrooms. With a robust academic background including ongoing doctoral studies at The University of British Columbia, Megan has held multiple teaching and research roles in higher education, further enhancing expertise in curriculum, pedagogy, and experiential learning.
