Gift Tang'aweka has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple organizations. Gift started their career as a Research Supervisor at CARE from January 2007 to August 2009. During this role, they were responsible for supporting the development of the organization's Detailed Implementation Plan, drafting progress reports, and resolving research issues.

Afterward, they joined the Ministry of Health of Zambia as an Assistant Health Information Officer in September 2009. Their responsibilities included supporting the establishment and implementation of a robust MEAL system, contributing to the implementation of the project's M&E plan, and coordinating and assisting in monitoring & evaluation data collection activities.
