Doug Standart

Doug Standart is a Senior Geologist at Riley Exploration Permian, Inc. since April 2021, leading geologic operations and exploration in the Eagle Ford and Permian Basin. Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering and land teams on leasing and drilling opportunities, utilizing Enervus PRISM for monitoring basin activities, and implementing ArcGIS Enterprise for real-time geologic data communication. Prior experience includes roles at Marathon Oil Corporation as Oklahoma Development Geologist and Bakken Development/Operations Geologist, and research and teaching positions at The University of Texas at El Paso. Education includes a PhD in Geology/Earth Science from The University of Texas at El Paso and a BS in Geology/Earth Science from Utah State University. Doug's expertise spans subsurface evaluation, stratigraphic frameworks, petrophysical modeling, and participation in NASA's Desert Research and Technology Studies.
