Heather Young

VP, Sales Development at Rimini Street

Heather Young is currently the VP of Sales Development at Rimini Street. Prior to that, they were the Director of Inside Sales for Pure Storage from July 2013 to February 2016. Heather was responsible for leading the vision and strategy of a world wide sales development and inside sales organization for Pure Storage. This included generating approximately 1 billion in pipeline creation annually from sales development team, building and leading a distributed world wide team of 50+ sales development professionals, and launching four locations in London, Singapore, Chicago and Mountain View.

In their role at Pure Storage, Heather also worked in close collaboration with field leadership to ensure pipeline goals were met through tight execution of sales development programs. Heather defined and deployed best practice prospecting methodologies and processes across all aspects of the lead generation workflow, defined and launched roles to meet needs of segment alignment, and drove Sales Development/Lead Generation training program including field development and sales skills certifications. Heather also launched an inside sales internship program with 100% student approval rating.

In addition to their work at Pure Storage, Heather is also the Executive Sponsor and Chair for Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Head of Women in Technology Chapter.

Heather Young holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University and certifications in Solution Selling, Value Selling, and CVI.

Heather Young reports to Kevin Maddock, EVP, Global Sales - Recurring Revenue. They are on a team with Robert Lachs - VP, Sales - NA, Northwest & Central Region, Joshua Blair - VP, Global Sales Enablement & Effectiveness, and Frank Pecora - VP, Global Client Renewal Sales.
