Dan Berkman

Dan gets numbers where they need to be, whether it’s ringing somewhere specific or being transferred to a new carrier. As the head of Local Number Portability, he manages the complete process including overseeing their local and toll-free inventory, providing customer guidance, troubleshooting issues, and running billing and KPI analytics.

Dan works with clients of all size, from national hotel chains to the local roofing contractor, acting as the liaison between them and the carriers and providing guidance to ensure a seamless process. With well over a decade of experience, Dan is the go-to guy to translate from telecom-speak to English and getting any challenges or hiccups resolved. He’s also the founder of the LinkedIn group for LNP professionals, improving efficiency and procedures across the industry.

Dan has always been focused on communications and has a passion for media and entertainment. He’s worked as a production assistant on movies and commercials, was a professional writer and podcaster for Pitchfork and Ampcamp, and has played in several bands. Dan comes from a musical and creative family and still enjoys playing drums when he can. He’s currently working on a new podcast detailing the weird and wacky history of American Vice Presidents. When he’s not working or creating, Dan can be found enjoying a good craft beer and hanging out with friends.
