Marco Rüegger

Marco Rüegger has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Marco started their career as a Junior Software Engineer intern at SunGard in 2005. Marco then went on to work as a Software Engineer and later became the Manager of Technical Consulting at SunGard. Seeking international exposure, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SunGard's Boston office in the USA.

In 2012, Marco joined Infosys as an Instep Intern in Hyderabad, India. Marco then moved on to the Haufe Group, where they held various Product Manager roles. Marco was responsible for managing solutions such as application management, hiring manager, and talent marketplace.

In 2018, Marco became a Product Manager at Swisscom for a brief period before returning to the Haufe Group. Marco worked as a Senior Product Manager, overseeing the development and management of the "Instant Feedback" mobile app.

Most recently, Marco joined Ringier AG in 2021. Marco serves as the CPO for Ringier Medien Schweiz and the Blick-Group. In addition, they have also taken on interim roles within the Blick-Group as CPO.

Marco Rüegger holds an MBA-HSG degree in General Management from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), St. Gallen, which they completed in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc CS ETH degree in Computational Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, from 2000 to 2006. Marco has also acquired additional certifications in areas such as Product Management, Scrum Master, Avaloq Asset Module (SMA) setup and management, Report Writer and Interfaces Special (RWI), and Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from various institutions.
