Adam Lubbert, CISSP

Adam Lubbert, CISSP, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Adam is currently the Director of Cybersecurity Compliance Services at RISCPoint since May 2023. Prior to that, Adam worked at A-LIGN where they held various roles including Associate Director of ISO Services, Senior Manager, and Managing Consultant between 2017 and 2021.

Before joining A-LIGN, Adam worked as the VP of Talent Management and Logistics and Principal Consultant at Orange Parachute from 2015 to 2017. At Orange Parachute, they specialized in establishing Information Security Management Systems and managing the implementation of ISO 27001:2013 and SOC 2 programs.

Adam also has experience in the retail industry, having worked at Target as a Business Partner for Assets Protection Technology Innovation in 2014 and as a Senior Analyst for Information Protection Cyber Security, Senior Security Analyst for Information Protection Archer eGRC, and Security Analyst for Information Protection Project Consulting from 2011 to 2013.

Additionally, Adam worked at U.S. Bank as an Archer eGRC Application Engineer from 2013 to 2014, where they were responsible for converting business unit requirements into application requirements for the Archer eGRC platform.

Earlier in their career, Adam worked at UPS as a Security Investigator and Operations Supervisor from 2004 to 2011, focusing on training, customer experience, employee safety, and reputation protection. Prior to UPS, Adam worked at Von Maur as a Sales Associate and at Lund Food Holdings, Inc. as a Store Supervisor.

Throughout their career, Adam has demonstrated proficiency in cybersecurity compliance, ISO services, information protection, and program development.

Adam Lubbert, CISSP, holds a Master of Science degree in Security Technology from the University of Minnesota, which they obtained from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Law from the same institution, from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their academic achievements, Adam has obtained several certifications, including ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor from BSI in February 2018, Certified CSF Practitioner (CCSFP) from HITRUST Alliance LLC in November 2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Lead Auditor from BSI in May 2015, RSA Archer Certified 5.x Administrator from RSA, The Security Division of EMC in December 2012, and CISSP from (ISC)² in December 2011.
