Dale Chinault

Dale Chinault has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Dale is currently working at RiskOptics as a Principal Engineer since April 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at Virtana from January 2022 to April 2023. At Virtana, Dale served as a senior technical leader/architect of the UI development team, specializing in ExtJS and later transitioning to functional React with Typescript.

From 2014 to 2022, Dale worked at Virtana where they were a Principal Engineer. Their role involved being a senior technical leader/architect of the UI development team. Dale worked with the ExtJS framework for several years before transitioning to functional React with Typescript in May 2020. Virtana develops applications to help large organizations monitor, diagnose, model, and maintain their computing infrastructures.

In 2014, Dale worked as an Editor for Packt Publishing, specifically for their ExtJS Essentials publication. Dale was responsible for editing and contributing to the book.

From 2013 to 2014, Dale was a Senior Software Consultant at Premier Healthcare Alliance. Dale designed, built, and delivered web-based solutions for the Contract Analytics department to facilitate contract renewals and customer acquisition. Dale's solutions utilized a database of 12 million products to help the sales team compare historical spend with projected future contract costs.

From 2011 to 2013, Dale was an ExtJS UI Consultant at Bank of America. Dale built applications for Retail Risk and Market Risk, supporting data quality management and risk analytics. Dale also worked as an ExtJS UI developer for the bank's Market Data Console used by their internal QAR Risk Team.

From 2007 to 2011, Dale worked as the Director of Development at BreakFront. Dale managed an elite team of engineers and oversaw the development of software for the kitchen and bath cabinet industry. Dale utilized the Drools Expert platform to build six rule platforms and facilitated Agile development processes.

From 2002 to 2007, Dale was a Senior Enterprise Architect at Compass Group North America. Dale served as the senior architect for the iVend project, a highly distributed vending solution processing sales data from over 200,000 machines. Dale also worked as a SQL Server DBA, specializing in performance management and platform tuning.

From 2000 to 2001, Dale worked as the Lead Application Architect at Access CoverageCorp. Dale provided architectural leadership for a team developing software for the commercial insurance industry. Dale designed and built an adaptive questionnaire engine with a drag and drop graphical designer that optimized the end-user experience.

Dale Chinault earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech between 1980 and 1984. Later, between 1992 and 1994, Dale pursued a Master's of Science in Management (MSM) Studies at North Carolina State University.
