Meagan Sims, MS, QMHP, has a diverse work experience in various roles within the healthcare and social services sectors. Meagan started their career at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago as a Job Trainer and Resume Specialist, where they helped individuals develop job skills and create resumes. Meagan then worked at the Illinois Department of Human Services as a Human Services Case Worker, providing support and assistance to clients in need. Meagan also gained experience as a Crisis and Legal Advocate at YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, where they offered crisis intervention and legal support to individuals experiencing difficult situations.
In 2015, Meagan joined The Harbour, Inc as a Youth Development Specialist, working with young individuals and providing guidance and support. Meagan then transitioned to the University of Chicago Medicine as a Behavioral Health Technician, where they played a vital role in patient care, implementing treatment plans, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Meagan further expanded their expertise at Aunt Martha's Health & Wellness, where they worked as a Manager on Duty and later as a Program Manager for the Adolescent Girls Unit. In these roles, they oversaw staff, managed facilities, and ensured the well-being of youth in the program.
At Youth Guidance, Meagan served as a Senior Project Lead, contributing to the successful implementation of projects aimed at supporting and guiding youth. Meagan then moved on to Mercy Housing, where they assumed the position of Resident Services Manager II, responsible for overseeing programs and services across multiple properties.
Most recently, Meagan joined Riverside Healthcare as an Admissions and Referral Specialist II in the Behavioral Health department. In this role, they complete patient assessments, coordinates disposition with medical professionals, and facilitates admissions or referrals.

Meagan Sims, MS, QMHP has an extensive educational background in non-profit and social entrepreneurship. Meagan pursued their Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Non-Profit/Social Entrepreneurship from Governors State University, from 2018 to 2024. Prior to this, Meagan obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership, from 2014 to 2016. Meagan'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Human Services, General, which they completed at Wayland Baptist University from 2008 to 2012.
In addition to their academic accomplishments, Meagan also holds several certifications. Meagan became a Certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher (PYT) in July 2020 and a Certified Children's Yoga Teacher (CYT) in July 2018.
