Karl Abbott

Karl Abbott is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology and finance. Currently serving as an Advisor at Riyad Bank since September 2021, Karl has previously held prominent roles at Scotiabank from March 2009 to February 2021, including Senior Vice President of Engineering and Chief Information Officer for Global Technology Products and Global Wholesale & Risk Technology. Prior to that, Karl was the Chief Technology Officer at Perimeter Financial from 2003 to 2009 and served as a consultant at CIBC World Markets from 2001 to 2003. Additional leadership experiences include managing director positions at Caught in the Web/Personus and SHL/EDS Systemhouse, as well as executive vice president at SHL Japan. Karl co-founded Nidak Associates Inc. and holds a BBA and MBA in Finance and Computer Science from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
