Brian Lipinski, PhD, PG has extensive work experience in geosciences, geophysics, and hydrogeology. Brian is currently the Vice President of Geosciences at RIZZO International, Inc. since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at DiGioia Gray as a Senior Geophysicist and Project Manager from January 2021 to November 2022. Brian also served as a Principal Hydrogeologist at Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. in 2020 and from 2017 to 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Geophysicist at Olympus Energy LLC. Earlier in their career, Brian held the position of Geophysics Manager at Chevron from 2010 to 2017 and worked as a Hydrogeologist/Geophysicist at EXCO Resources, Inc. from 2008 to 2010. Brian started their career as a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Energy Technology Laboratory from 2003 to 2008 and worked as a Project Manager at The GeoEnvironmental Consortium, Inc. from 2002 to 2003.

Brian Lipinski, PhD, PG has a strong education background in the field of geology and environmental science. Brian obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 1999. Brian then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Environmental Geoscience at Michigan State University from 1999 to 2002.

Continuing their educational journey, Lipinski earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Geology from the University of Pittsburgh from 2003 to 2007. This advanced degree further solidified their expertise in the field.

In addition to their academic achievements, Lipinski has also pursued professional certifications. Brian obtained the Professional Geologist certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in May 2009. Furthermore, they acquired a certificate in Reservoir Geomechanics, identified as GEOPHYSX0001, from Stanford Online in April 2020.

To further enhance their skill set, Lipinski is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Project Management at Waynesburg University. This program, which started in 2020, is expected to be completed in 2024.
