Roy Tal

Roy Tal is the co-founder and CTO of Ro5, a role commenced in January 2019, where responsibilities include leading scientific and R&D operations, alongside business development and executive decision-making. Under Roy’s leadership, the employee base expanded tenfold, and the company's intellectual property portfolio saw the approval of five patents, with additional patents pending. Roy also played a pivotal role in establishing a world-class advisory board and partnerships within the industry. Notably, a preprint paper was released detailing Ro5's methodology in identifying potential drug candidates for Covid-19. Prior to Ro5, Roy served as a graduate researcher at Sorbonne Université, focusing on computational models related to spatial navigation and memory. Educationally, Roy holds a BSc in Biomedical Science and Pharmacology from Imperial College London, a Master's degree in Brain and Mind Sciences from UCL, and a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence / Cognitive Engineering from Ecole normale supérieure.
